The Saturna Telematics Platform, installed on an OEM’s assembly line, allows for incredible product differentiation and puts any manufacturer’s gas or electric product in an entirely new category.
Innovative, useful and tangible features permit OEMs and their distributors to price their Saturna-equipped models at a premium, and thus achieve better margins for their products.
Most interesting, however, is that the Saturna Telematics Platform opens up a completely new area of possibilities for two-wheel electric manufacturers and their distributors.
By being able to stay connected to their customers, they can offer users:
1) Extended maintenance packages,
2) Support and emergency services,
3) Merchandise and service sales,
4) Concierge services, and
5) A wide variety of potential benefits in conjunction with other service providers and businesses.
Saturna's disruptive technology created lot of interest in the 2-wheeler universe since its concept stage.
Our communication platform it is being currently implemented on several top line electric scooters and motorcycles in North America.
Saturna’s SVD-400 collects detailed data about the status of the vehicle’s electrical systems, operation, location, speed, etc., and delivers it to the rider via the SVD-400 integrated Digital Dashboard (a Saturna first).
It also transmits this data to the Saturna Transportation as a Service (“TaaS”) Cloud – a highly customizable and scalable application that allows the vehicle and rider to communicate and benefit from a large variety of location-based services, as well as to be remotely managed from any web-enabled device.

Saturna SVD-400 digital dashboard
With 3G, GPS, and 3d-axis accelerometer, our ruggedized digital dashboard SVD-400 collects a wide variety of vehicle location, diagnostics and telemetry data, which it then transmits to the Rider on its 7'' color touchscreen display – in addition to sending it to the Saturna Cloud, for truly wireless vehicle and rider management, communications and networking.
Saturna’s SVD-400 also provides CAN bus connectivity to the scooter or motorcycle. As for electric vehicles, the CAN bus interface collects data from motor controllers (MC) and battery management systems (BMS) in order to gather accurate vehicle range and diagnostic information. CAN bus connectivity can also provide OEMs and their dealers with diagnostic trouble code (DTC) information for proactive warranty and maintenance programs.
Saturna’s on-board technology also integrates fully with existing or add-on electrical peripherals (telematics) such as anti-theft devices, locks, temperature sensors, etc.
The Saturna SVD-400 Device is the core hardware component designed and manufactured by Saturna. The small and rugged device can be incorporated easily in any 2/3-wheel motorcycle or scooter, and consists of a high-spec processor running the Android™ operating system, middleware and key applications.
